In a collaborative effort to promote effective football governance, the AFC and FIFA organized a workshop for the General Secretaries of Football Federation of Timor-Leste (FFTL) Member Associations. Held on November 29, 2023, the workshop witnessed active participation from the majority of FFTL Member Associations.
The session, focusing on Governance in Football, featured presentations by key figures in football administration. Mr. Lazarus J. Xavier, the AFC Head of the Strategic Planning and Advisory Unit, and Ms. Nhodkeo Phawadee, Head of the ASEAN Unit at AFC, delivered insightful presentations, covering crucial aspects of governance in football.
Adding to the significance of the event, FFTL staff members actively participated in the workshop, highlighting the organization’s commitment to aligning with international governance standards.
The insights gained from the workshop are expected to have a lasting impact on the administration and growth of football within the FFTL Member Associations.
